Anyone experience with domain transfer to a different hosting ?

    I am planning on transferring my existing domains to a different hosting.

    My questions are;

    Do I need to transfer all files such as .html that exist on the domain to the new hosting?

    How long does it take to transfer a domain to a new hosting ?

    Will the domain drop in google ranking after being transferred ?

    What is the hassle or problem that might occur after moving to a new home?

    Thanks. :p

    I may have misunderstood what you are changing, but I am assuming that you are changing registrars, not hosts. You may correct me if I am wrong.

    When just changing registrars, you do not have to move any files. At your current registrar, you must unlock your domain. Then at your new registrar, you request that unlocked domain. This action may require you to input the EPP Code of the website which would confirm that permission for the transfer was given. The process can take 2-8 days with good registrars to complete. After the domain transfer is complete, lock the domain in the new registrar and change the domain's DNS if it is not already set, to your host, which did not change.

    Unless your domain is unavailable when Google tries to access your domain, you should not have any problems with search engine placement.

    See if u are changing ur host normally u dont have to transfer ur domain unless u have registered the domain with ur host normally its better to register domain with a registrar coz u can change nameservers and shift to new host.. yes all files have to be transfered

    What you need to have done is calleed web site transfer and that is not domain name transfer at all.
    1. Go to the new web host and create account
    2. Copy all files to the new host (copy not move them)
    3. Go to the domain name registrar account and change name servers
    wait up to the 72 hours

    This is clear... Unless the domain is registered then no problem in
    changing for new host..
