I have a website with high paying keyword, and it's been proved by the high Cost per Click I've got initially (around $1 per click). Then 2 weeks ago I stupidly made ONE off topic post which is LOW paying keyword, since then I've noticed my WHOLE cost per click averaged very low (around $0.05). Later I deleted that off topic post, but why do I still get very LOW CPC?

Could I get such low CPC is due to that ONE off topic post I made the other day? What should I do to get my high CPC back?

Thank you so much for your valuable answer:)

Google is sharing less and less revenue per click.

Get rid of adsense and try some other monetization strategy.

Earnings in adsense per click depends on the keyword use on the ads that has been click. So, there's no assurance that you can get $1 per click.
