I have had 328 page impressions and not even one click. I think my ad placement is very good.. so what's the problem? Can someone take a look at my site and tell me why I'm not getting any clicks? I've earned 1 cent in several days lol the site is in my sig.

The site in your sig has poor placement... sidebar ads won't do any good... try placement like this inserted ad in content...

what is the source of your traffic, that is more important. if you have any organic traffic then with the kind of ad placement you should convert around 2-3%.

    1. 300 impressions is nothing .... I got lucky and got a click my first day for 5 cents and that was only at 40 impressions, the next one came at 1400 after 4 days.

    2. make sure you use simple colors and layouts and blend the ads so that they almost look like part of your website.

    3. along with #1 just keep at the SEO and advertising your website.

Skyscraper ads are not going to attract clicks. Use the Medium Rectangle ads and place it in your content.

Most that will click on the ads are those that are in the middle of the content. I wold suggest that you put a 336x280 right inside the contents or right under the title.

    Thanks

I've found that MMO sites just don't get that good of a payoff from Adsense. You're better off going with a product or service where people aren't just looking to make a quick buck. Travel is a good niche to earn Adsense from because people love to shop for travel stuff and do lots of clicking and lots of clicking equals lots of bucks.

that is nothing really. I got over 25k Page Impressions, only 30 clicks :( I feel really sorry. Adding more content should help you out though.

    The reason is dead simple

    1. No quality contents
    2. Too much adsense
    3. Not a very profitable niche to earn money from adsense

Thanks for all your suggestions guys :) I have added in-content ads now and spent 3-4 hours yesterday answering questions on yahoo answers with my link in it. But since as a level one answerer you don't get to have links. So I guess all that effort was not towards any backlinks eh. What is fastest or most effective way to get backlinks?

Btw what happened to adsense? lol I got 6 clicks.. only gave me $0.33 cents.. used to be so much better :(

As I view your site right now you have 9 google ads on the page. This is bad because a click on the 9th ad will be a tiny commission because it's the 9th bidder.

Try a 2 ad unit in the middle, no ads on the right I'd recommend.

Click through rates depend on the niche also. The less competitive and less technical niches will get better rates I believe. Earning Money is very competitive and with ads like this:

    I Made $4619 in 6 Days
Learn How You Can Make $5k+Week from Home without Calling Anyone!

Yes I'm a visitor, i've heard it all before, not interested!

I get better click rates on my site http://ukauctions.org.uk with ads like this:

    E.g.
    Houses Auctions
Property Auction News - Cash In On 1000's of Property Bargains

This is targeted at my target market and while still quite outrageous it's more believable than I Made $4619 in 6 Days.

So the advice there is write about something else, sorry :(

    Hope this helps
