Hey guys i want to know if "akismet" (The Spam Protection Plugin) banned any website and doesnot allow that website to post comments and cant even shows particular comments. I noticed a pattern emerging. I would submit a comment, and be taken to a blank page. Returning to the page I had commented on did not show my comment, nor were any of the comment fields pre-filled. Suspecting a problem, It appears, with strong evidence, that Akismet is blocking the primary domain of the URL being submitted. --- Now when this happens what to do next? Have some one any idea about it. If anyone has any information regarding this issue, please let me know. Thanks
PageRank is an excellent way to prioritize the results of web keyword search. The analysis of link structure via PageRank allows Google to evaluate the quality of web pages. The use of link text as a description of what the link points to helps the search engine return relevant results (High Quality).
Keyword research must be done according to your site objectives, not to pagerank. The priority for keywords is search volume not pagerank.
I absolutely agree with you, "The priority for keywords is search volume not pagerank." As for the PR... well in my opinion its just a little green bar that helps advertising sales etc.... --Thanks!
Back to James P Relevance! Define the scope, google is a dumb computer it cant define relivance as we see it all it can do is build a statistical picture of what the page or site is about then if required atribute any score to out bound links. So my point what makes the page relivant to the link to the destination? I mean i could write an article about the parts of an aircraft and link from the word "gps2 to a "car gps" site, is that relivant? a human would say no but google may say yes especialy in my aircraft article i mentioned things like breaks wheels etc etc. So if I was to write an article what triggers are required to make it relivant and not spammy?
Google might be a dumb computer without knowledge of anything, but the humans that control Google are not dumb. The Google search engine algorithm is becoming more effective each time is updated, and their spam team is on the road too. Relevance is often determine by density of words, main title and how high are ranked those websites for an specific keyword. So if you get a back-link from a site ranked top ten for the keyword "car insurance" and your site is about "car insurance" take for sure your website will boosted in rankings. How this happens? The site linking to you might have good keyword density for the key-phrase "car insurance" and the link placed in that site should have the same key-phrase in the anchor text. That is how most search engines works.
Yep, build a site on any subject that visitors find useful/interesting and then spend about 10 times more effort marketing the site than it took to build it, and you'll have a winner.
I’m glad because good behavior is rewarded online, as you are clearly showing us with your statements. Your advice is excellent. Thank you! This is the obvious truth.
Lovely Thread. Just like googles Ultimate goal is to return the best suited result based on ones keyword and now even location. The same applied to keywords and link building. Google wants good backlinks with quality content and high relevence. PR is simply googles gauge on authority, how much authority that site has. Now how many sites have I seen recently that beat high PR sites in position? loads.
same old words but some of em very valid too i know lot of people who r following hardly 1 or 2 of these steps but still getting good rank. for me a very realistic approach described in this post
As per the 'Content is King' idea - simply driving lots of traffic to it and per chance someone will see your simply amazing content (and function! Don't forget functions) and link to it from their blog or website.
