i'm not really in the mood for a retro look.... try doing something newage.... great colors and font this time... try finding a better suited mascot for the online gaming theme....
didn't realize that was a laptop... its a quiet innovative design and nice font too... but please try to make it brighter and i think you have compressed the image before uploading it which is making it look too dull so please next time send it in high res so i can compare it with others.. also can you please state the source of the image you have used in this one.. i mean is it a stockphoto or a you just googled it..
ya something very similar to this... i like this one a lot too... but i've seen this image umpteen times... and it's been downloaded >100 times at istock too.... so keep looking for something similar.... your concept is great
its not just the colors.. its the overall thing... i just don't get that "FEEL".. you know... i even tried it on the layout and its looking out of place....

don't ruin you header by trying too much.. the initial height of the logo was perfect so don't expand it... the image that was half outside was a killer idea.. and the joystick is ruining it too... i like the clean look.... also its not necessary that you look for images that have never been downloaded at all... upto 20 downloads is good (give or take 10).. also don't limit yourself to just one kind of stockphoto... you can try cute monsters or anything that you think looks good... see if this one looks good: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/8692682/2/istockphoto_8692682-techno-boy.jpg
