Hello, I have started my site LinkCity Pro on 1st of June. I have been pretty busy with modifying the theme to meet my requirements as well as adding original content. Too much info for me. Looks too loaded. Maybe if you show less posts in one page will look better. You got 8 ads in the home page. Without counting 1 ad got like 3 sites. Good Luck.
Ummm a few things I would change... - Logo needs to be changed. Look at this thread, another dude has the same theme, same logo as you, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1430860 . - I would either remove, or put them in a different place, the second row of links on the header of the page, FAQ, STICK FIGHT...., when you mouse over the top row it covers the bottom row, any webmaster would not do that. - CSS needs to be changed, Some of the links are bright blue and they are underlined when moused over, while some are just gray and they turn black when moused over. - Search box does not have a search button. Where do I click if I actually try to search something? - Too many pictures, videos on the main page, loads slowly. Not too slow, but enough to turn away some visitors. - Social media thumbnails (digg, reddit, facebook, stumble upon, etc.) links, or whatever they are called, are too big.
I think your website is great, It has alot of interesting content and looks like a winner to me. you might want to check out reviewmywebsite.org if you want an expert opinion though.
First, I like the concept of your site. But the design is definitely overwhelming. The most successful sites tend to draw your attention to 1 or 2 things on the home page. You can put as many articles as you would like on there, but make the section they are in stand out (assuming that is the most important thing on the page) so that users can instinctively tell the difference between your content and your navigation aids/site features. Also, I would put borders or something so where one post begins and the next starts. One thing I do when I design my pages is say to myself "If I couldn't read a single word on this page, where would I focus my attention?" You've obviously put some work into it...I would say just clean up the interface.

Thank you all for these great suggestions and visiting my site, I appreciate it very much. I couldn't agree more about the logo, it is the default logo for the Atahualpa theme which I have been modifying. Couple of days ago I started a logo contest on my site and will be paying the winner $50. I am hoping I can have a good logo. For the overall design, being overwhelming...I agree and I am currently thinking about how best to manage the content and keep the users interested. PM me please if you are interested and would like to help. Time to get back to the code and clean it up a bit, I am removing a few banner ads also to clean it up a bit.
I agree w/ the others that the page is loaded with stuff -- good stuff -- but just very loaded. If I was not staying there to critically analyze the site, I probably would have left after a few seconds. I was immediately looking for the titles of the posts, so my recommendations would be to make those titles stick out more by either emphasizing them with some font style, or getting rid of other clutter.

I use chrome, the middle/content layout have horizontal scroll bar, which doesn't look good... Also, IMO, the each sharing icon is too big... But overall, it's great...
Hey thanks for checking it out. Could you please let me know your display resolution? I think it might be so if your resolution is smaller than 1024x768. In any event, I am planning on removing the top featured section which should resolve this.
its good although its feel like is written Atahualpa all over it. i would change the logo asap. top menu isn't that great. social bookmarking logo are too big.
