directory or file, which is better ?

hi guys,

i'm about to build a new website and i'd like to do things right in terms of seo.
from the following two dummy urls, which is better for seo ?

mydomain.com/myproduct/

or

mydomain.com/myproduct.php

Both are good for seo as long as they have the keyword in it

 

Agree, just keep including your important keywords in the exact page URL and try making unique but URLs with some sense, beyond this there won't be any difference!
Keep the important keywords along your meta tags and your backlinks. The extension itself doesnt matter

 

I think that you should not worry about URLs structure to this extent. Google do give some SEO value to URL structure but this value is very small. There are lots of other things that really matters. Things that actually will decide which site will rank higher.

If there was a perfect URL structure available for Google then everybody was going to use it but which site was then going to rank higher?

Use any of the URL structures, you will not notice any difference in terms of SEO.

 

Google gives a small value to link structure but that value can help him to achieve higher rankins in long tails.

 

I don't think you would get a major edge on any over the other option. Just that you have keywords on both, would do.
