I depends on your target keywords competition. If your keywords are highly competitive,
then expect a long and rough road before hitting the 1st page rank.

Indexed and showing up in the SERPS aren't the same thing. Indexing can take from 10 minutes to a month or more - it depends on backlinks. Ranking for a keyword depends on how competitive it is. Highly competitive keywords can take a year, or years, before you could ever hope for the top ten. Some companies spend six figures a month to get into the top SERPS - so in reality, you'll never see the top 10.

Normally it can take about a week to get fully indexed. Keep building backlinks to them, and they will be indexed.

    They may never show.
What phrase are you ranking 8th for?
If you are talking about any of the sites in your footer you have a very long haul in front of you.
You may want to consider blocking the United States from accessing your gambling related sites.
Some states are seizing web sites for illegal promotion of gambling.
I sold all of my gambling related sites to PokerListings.com when all of the U.S. control started getting serious.

Getting indexed doesnt take much time at all, getting ranked takes keywords and other SEO tricks and even that depends on the competition. Take for instance an article I wrote on hubpages.com, my keyword phrase is "sexiest bikini scenes" and it is ranked 7th and 8th on Google. I had the weight of HP behind me and I was indexed within an hour. And a few days later I was up to page 4 on Google, now Page 1.

index and ranking in the serp are 2 different things. If you are using a wordpress then it will be crawled and indexed immediately after the post else you can use pingomatic.com to ping the search engines. Don't worry if you don't see your page in a site:domain_name command, it will not show your all the pages. If you really want to know if it is indexed or not then use webmaster tool. You can gather more backlinks to rank well in serp. This can take months/years.

I would agree normally around a week, but a recent site took 10 days.

IF YOU SUBMIT YOUR SITE TO GOOGLE YOU ARE RETARDED.

I get my sites indexed using niche devil in less than a few hours and I am making money off them within days.

Submitting to google does noting but delay your position in the new indexing. A simple PING and a couple of bookmarks will get you indexed in google instantly.

Or just get a blog to review your site, or even better have a blog yourself and review your own sites ;-) SY

Actually, I was used to it only taking about 3-4 days for Google to index one of my new sites or pages on a site.
However, I just launched a new site and it has already been a week and still, google hasn't indexed it. Weired...
