I read this on Christian Mezei's blog at: http://www.seopedia.org/contextual-...rds/5-google-adsense-secrets-tips-and-tricks/ QUOTE: "So if you have a very good CTR (5%-50%) for one website, and you include it in the same account with a 0.04# CTR website, you will loose money. Remove all the websites (from your account) that don’t have at least a 5% CTR (or depeding on your overall CTR, remove the ones that are really lower than your average), or you’ll affect the income of all the other good converting websites." Has anyone tried this or seen this to be true in their own accounts?
I believe Shoemoney talked about this once on his blog. He has several different corporations that operate different adsense accounts thats how he keeps from getting smart priced on his higher CTR sites.
That makes no sense whatsoever. A low CTR website in the same account as a high CTR website has no effect on each other's potential earnings. Adsense only cares about one thing -- conversion on the clicks you GET, not those you DON'T get.
ok , let's change thw words: if bad conversion from one site affects your whole adsense account and hence other sites earnings?
i don't find the logic: you have 1 site with 100 visitors and 3 clicks per day (let's say it's a high paying keyword): you get 9 dollars for that 3 clicks. (3% CTR) you have another site with 10000 visitors and 500 clicks (let's say that is a low paying keyword), that make you 25 dollars (5% CTR) You would have earned 34 dollars with a 4% CTR. If you eliminate the site that gives you 3% CTR you make 25 dollars with 5% CTR. I rather have the money than the CTR.... Did i miss something?
well since you are allowed one account per person how (even if this is true) are you going to separate the sites in different accounts?!?
There is no proof of this. Anyway, if you want to increase adsense earnings, you got to add it to all your sites. You shouldn't stop using it believing it will harm your earnings on the existing site/s.
well I really dont think that is true.. my CTR for one of the channels if below 1 % for over 3 years now.. Its Ok as long as you dont spam or click your own ads.
CTR for one of the channels or one of your websites ? I think this is about websites, no connection with individual channels.
