@jackieh - Hey there! Thanks for the entry! I like the concept, but if a girl is included, we'd like it to be more abstract, and also if you decide to submit a revision, a different font would be nice...as that one isn't working for us.

@onlyfights - Nice font, great use of color...but like a few others, it seems that it's missing something. Good work though mate!

@Tightwad - Thanks for your entry friend! It would be a perfect entry if we were going for a more clean look, because it's super clean and classy, but we're looking for something that takes advantage of a good portion of the space without looking crazy. Does that make sense? Anyway, thanks again for entering

The girl, starts and colorful circles...Really wonderful.
You are really a wonderful designer.

He mentioned specific sizes for the logo design.

Everyone put a boundary of width 490 and height 140 pixels to their creativity.
Anyway nice header you have.

 

Thank you very much...yes originally I was just going to replace the logo section of the theme...but I actually ended up kind of redesigning the whole thing and just using the "bones" of the theme. I really do appreciate all the efforts that everyone put into this contest...

Right... so what you're saying here is that no winner was announced... no thought was given to the designers who put all the work in, and the revisions! You couldnt even be bothered to post here to say that you werent going to choose anyone! Then, the logo you finally use is of different specifications to that which you asked for here!!

Not good for someone with iTrader like yours - I'd have expected much better!

 

Your right I should have had shamus announce that there would be no winner awarded. So that is my bad....but if you look and pay attention to what I said, I said I ended up changing the whole theme of my site....so a logo that small never would have worked in the first place....second we provided continuous feedback and the products delivered were just not what i was looking for as stated in the feedback...so I apologize for not announcing sooner...but I'm not going to apologize for coming up with my own design!

 

@Typingmums - I'm sorry that this one contest (out of thousands) has caused you so much grief. If you look at my itrader, you'll see that I've held dozens upon dozens of successful contests, and I've picked a variety of winners over the years. I feel that I contribute to the well being of designers on DP more than your average member. The only reason I didn't pick a winner here is because the blog owner ended up designing her own (as you can see above). Can you blame her? It's freakin' awesome.

I'm sorry I didn't announce this, I just didn't think that anyone would honestly care..lol, with the amount of contests available.

And why on earth would you think that designers wouldn't care about spending time on a design for you, and that you couldnt be bothered to let them know that they had wasted that time??

Firstly its called courtesy, and secondly if you start a contest, you should award someone within that contest. It doesnt state anywhere that no winner will be announced if a design is not found. And it certainly doesnt state that the blog owner was considering redesigning the site and making their own logo (which I agree is awesome!).

All I'm stating really is that designers should be given more consideration and that just deciding (after they've put all the work in) that you no longer need their services, isn't good enough.
