Should i always drive traffic to the home page rather than to the adsense page??

The ads are not on the main page as this is not allowed. Normally we place a video clip on main page and the video exists for SEO purposes.

When driving traffic, should i always drive it to the home page??
It is then up to the person if they click through the site and ultimately click on the ads.

Doing otherwise can result in our site losing access to the ads from the provider???

 

drive people to your main page yes, but say you have usefull information on a sub-page than its fine to create backlinks to that one page.

 

What do you mean? AdSense is allowed on the main page.

no you shouldn't. you can drive traffic to internal pages where the ads exist. Don't you think majority search engine traffic come to internal pages?

 

I have never known about the " no ads on main page/homepage". Does anyone told you abut this or you got this from someone else? the best way is to experiment on your ad placements as the other commentators are saying.

You can drive traffic to any page either to home or internal pages containing ads but not to the pages that contains only ads with no content at all, this is not allowed by adsense.

 

I get to known from one experience oversea IM, he said no ads on main page/homepage as it is not allowed or perhaps he means is not encourage ?! But he said is advise to put video clip on main page then drive traffic to main age and not directly to ads page. Any idea?

 

its confusing. I think you are confused. Google allow us to put ads on main page else i would had been banned

google don't allow to put ads on non content page.

 

Yeap Google will not let you put adsense on a page that has no content and thats why they say "Content Is King"

 

The primary purpose of any website should be to deliver content to the user, so drive the traffic to what they want to see - the videos?

If you drive traffic to an ads pages, its not really the idea of a website.

For SEO purpose, the homepage and inner pages should have different keywords. So if you want to put more emphasis on your inner pages, it makes sense to drive traffic to inner pages, rather than just your homepage.

You should drive your traffic to your adsense page its already hard enough to convert from adsense so your better off driving them there. your probly missing out on money by not driving them there.

 

This is up to you, traffic to either homa page or inner page are both good
