Should I buy this domain??

I am planning to buy an expired domain name.
A total of 291 pages indexed on google point to that domain.
It has 47 Yahoo back links.
    BUT
It has been expired for over a year.
How do I know if it is getting any traffic?
I am planning to park it at adsense for domains.
Looking to make money by just parking it.
    Is it a good idea???

There is no way to know traffic on an expired domain a year old - there is no site. I wouldn't buy it unless it is a site you want to develop. 47 yahoo backlinks isn't very many.

Are you talking about a dropped domain?

The domain name belongs to a manufacturing firm in china.
The firm left its business but its website is listed on dozens of Importers Exporters directories around the world.
Do you think it is a good reason to assume that this domain must have traffic??

Save your money IMO. Expired and dropped is the same thing.

Expired domains can be back ordered at the same registrar itself. It retains the Age.

But dropped domains can be registered anywhere.but they do not retain their Age..

Directory listings are a dime a dozen and 99% generate no significant, if any, traffic. I personally would pass on the domain.
