Azoogle Banned me for Being Honest

I was working on some SEO for my dating website for the past 3-4 months, and I was getting some small traffic with some leads. Well, Long story short. Last weekend, I saw a spike in traffic and a spike in leads. I gave my AM heads up that there might be a problem, and I told them the traffic was coming from a proxy. Azoogle locked my account and didn't believe my story. Is this fair? I feel like they treat me this way because I am a small fish. What do you think?

That's kind of lame by Azoogle to ban you even when you gave them a heads-up. This has implications, because this means its incredibly easy to go to a competitor's site and do the exact same thing and get them booted out. Which kind of looks like what happened to you...

If you were a big time publisher, Azoogle probably would of worked harder to help you out. But they don't really care that much about the smaller publishers and it was probably easier to just ban you.

That's pretty lame of them. They could have just scrubbed the leads and there would have been no problem. Especially since you gave them a heads up and told them all the traffic seemed to be coming from a proxy. If you want to stay with them, Id call the AM directly and get him to sort it out and get your account back.

I agree and this is good advice... I would definitely contact your AM to correct this... that's what they're there for...

    Good Luck.

Contacting my AM was the first exact thing that I did, and I am finally unbanned today. Relief. Lesson learned, do not promote free trials.

Hrmmm.. whenever they have leads from a proxy it looks like fraud.. normally they wouldnt ban or do something to that extent if they didnt have proof it was you.. just keep contacting them

glad to see that you got your ban lifted. even if they did end up banning you forever, azzogle is not the end of the world. there are plenty of good networks out there who have lot more programs that azzogle. i myself take my business where it is appreciated

I do not agree, free trials converts easily as most of the landing pages are tested and proven.May you need to try some other sources of traffic as well.

I am sure they do. All my traffic sources are from Search Engines. Any competitor can just go to your free trial and send a lot of fraud leads via proxy and get you banned. That was the point I was trying to make.

Thanks, I totally agree, but I was more pissed at the fact that I got banned for taking the path of honesty.

Wow. You are exactly the type of publisher I love working with. You know why? Because by taking the initiative you were treating your business like a PARTNERSHIP with the network, which it is. You each have a piece of the puzzle which results in revenue for you both. I do have to say that it's kind of messed up that they blocked you first instead of working with the intel that you provided to identify the issue.
