    Hi

Are you running a wireless network to access the Internet at home?

Most have setup a wireless network but I also know of a few who think they can be dangerous for kids due to the wireless signals.

    Hi

I don't think they are dangerous but I know a few friends who think they are.

They started to become suspicious after an investigation was carried out into the waves released from wireless networks. I believe the investigation showed that wireless products were safe.

Whether we want it or not, it's all over the place. You've got radio waves, TV waves, Satellite waves, cellular waves, etc all floating around you and one more isn't gonna kill you unless you managed to grasp ahold of a microwave and managed to turn it into a massive cooking house at which you'd need an aweful lot.

If wireless is dangerous, I'm probably going to die soon. In my house right now, I have 3 active wireless access points (going to add 2 more because the coverage sucks in certain areas), then another 5 that have wireless capabilities, but wireless disabled for them. That doesn't count everything else that is running wireless that I don't own (cellular service signals, TV signals, radio signals, etc.)

I figure there's probably 10Gbit/sec of data passing through my body 24/7. lol

    Oh dam,

Imagine one day if we could use some kind of camera and see all the "signals and data" flowing in the air...that would be neat.....

Seriously that claim is ... alittle far fetched. If you're concerned about that, why don't you look at what has been saturating our air waves for decades. They are called radio waves and you can't escape them, unless you live in a cave or lead house.

I use a linksys wrt54gl with tomato. It's handy to track my bandwidth consumption also, there are quite a few laptops in my family.
