Cannot upgrade on Wordpress

    I cant seem to upgrade anything on WP lately. Whether it is plugin or WP itself once I click on upgrade automatically, it will bring me to the connection information page for the ftp details. Once I click proceed, its takes forever and then comes back with some kind of error. The errors seems random depending what I want to upgrade. I need to fix this asap.
    The only difference is I just moved to another host. I realised that my CMOD has changed from the previous host. I am not sure who changed them but its all changed now. I am guessing this is the reason why I cant seem to upgrade but I dont know how to fix this.
    Can anyone advice me how to fix this?

    I never recommend auto update via plugin. It's best to do manually.

    @Neokenzo
    Change the folder permissions to 755 using FTP program like FlashFXP or Filezilla

    Try deleting the plugin either by FTP or from the cpanel, hopefully that'll bring Wordpress back. Then make sure no upgrade plugins are active, and use the automatic upgrade in Wordpress. If other upgrade plugins are active I get an error message, but it works fine when I disable the plugin.

    Why not upgrading manually, even overwrite method would work.

    turn off your plugins. Download it and install it manually following the directions on WordPress's site implicitly. Then in the future you should be able to do the automatic updates. Always disable your plugins and back up before you do any update manual or automatic.

    I had a similar problem, did a manual update, now all the auto updates are working fine again.

    I'll give a try installing them manually and see whether I still have the same problems or not :)

    Dont use the automatic upgrade feature, learn how to do it yourself with an FTP client and running the upgrade.php script from your browser.

    By letting the site update itself, your not learning anything.

    If you are using cPanel, try using Fantastico to upgrade WP. It works like a charm for me.
