Hello all, I am trying to start a Reviews Site and I need your advice. Due to budget constrains, I decided that it would be best to opt for a customized Wordpress instead of building a brand new site from scratch. I am currently trying to figure out if the following features are available in Wordpress: Is there a way to allow the site’s visitors to make new posts and/or edit their posts but without having the full permission of an admin? I found that you can do that by allowing visitors to register as “Contributorsâ€. Would the above pose a security threat? Is there another way to do it that’s safer? Furthermore, would there be a way to set it up so that users can subscribe to the RSS of specific contributors? Or any other way to get updates from 1 or a couple of selected contributors? (Maybe like how people subscribe to YouTube channels or follow others in Twitter?) Is there a way to add a rating system for every post? Really looking forward to your replies! Thanks in advance!!!
Hm... TDO minifroms are a great way to give users the ability to post content. Take a look at http://trininights.com/, a site I've coded, a wordpress driven site that has this type of form installed. Rating system is also a simple plugin and a few condition here and there. As for RSS, that can also be done, but I don't think that there is a plug-in for something like that.
