Indeed , we all were at the beginning at a given time , but most of us knew what google was then. If we were to mean to this guy I apologize in the name of every guy who said something that disturbed him, but the info around here tends to overwhelm this kind of questions.
Backlink is a link from another site where you have posted or submitted your link that points back to your site.. This is considered by Google when they fix search engine rankings or PR of websites.. There are lots of ways to get backlinks and among them are social bookmarking, article submission, press release submission, blog commenting, blog creation, directory submission, forum posting, answering questions in Yahoo answers and also through social networking sites such as My Space, Facebook, etc.. Just make sure that you provide quality posts or submissions so that you will not be considered as a spammer.. Also, don't overdo it so that Google will not become suspicious of the backlinks you are receiving..

Put something in your signature. Sig links in DP are counted by Google as backlinks because they are dofollow. Aside from forum posting, you can also build BLs through link exchange, social bookmarking, article submission.
Backlinking is always helpful. Depends on where you put your link though. If it's a popular site, expect more than a new site.
Many way to generate back link (1) Directory submission (2) article submission (3) Forum submission (4) social media Marketing (5) Link exchange
Let me say this, before you decide that you want to flame a noob for coming in to a forum and asking a question that has been answered several times. Make sure that you know how to spell, the word you were looking for was Kindergarten, something that you actually learn how to spell in Kindergarten. No one made you read this post, and no one made you reply to it, you came in here simply to flash your ass and show that you're no better than a child. As for this winner of a post, we all learned somewhere what a backlink is, you don't learn without first asking the question. If you aren't willing to help out by answering a simple question like this one, (even if it's been answered several times before) then you don't belong in this forum. People come to learn, not to be made fun of by other members of the community. Grow up and think before you post. And to the OP, you should learn to search the forum for an answer to your question before you start a new thread like this. This will help to avoid people asking questions several times, and it will avoid asinine reponses such as these.
Exchanged links will basically cancel each other out. Unless you pull some unethical tricks and robot out your links page, you won't see a huge benefit from link exchanges at all.
