This morning, it rained hard with thunder and lightning. I am afraid to go to work. Are you afraid of thunder and lightning?
Hello, I cannot say that Lightning and thunder scare me. I live in Florida, so that is almost a daily event. I am deathly afraid of any new Sacha Baron Cohen movies...
I guess we all are too grown up to be afraid by it.... anymore! Though...I would surely not venture out into the vast open flat field all by myself, if it is lightning really hard! Regards, RightMan
I'm a bit afraid if got struck by lightning... You've probably heard than when a lightning storm catches you on open ground, you shouldn't take cover under a tree. That's true. Since lighting often strikes the highest spot in an area, ducking below a tall tree is definitely not a good idea, since you'll probably be struck in the same time. If you're caught in an open area, with no places to take cover (a lonely wooden tool shed is not recommended) you are the tallest spot, so the chances of being struck increase. You shouldn't lie on the ground either! The best solution is to crouch, in a fetal position, only vertical, and to stand on your toes, the idea being to minimize the contact area with the ground. You should also lose all metal objects, like watches, metal lighters, belt buckles and metallic jewelry.
i don't afraid if it's only sound... but i am afraid to get shock with lightning.. it's can make me die...
No, i dont. The percentage of getting hit by the lightning is much lower than win the lottery first prize
I'm not scared of it. I might have been a little so as a child but I actually really really love it now. The large clapping sound and huge deep thunder racing across the sky for miles and miles. It makes you feel small compared to the grand scale of things. Also it kinda makes you think of God a little as well. Well it does for me. Or is that just me? I'm sure you know what I mean!
I used to. But one night I had to walk with rain, thunderstorm and lightning giving me company. Since then I am not afraid any more. I am now fascinated towards this phenomena.
