    Hello everyone,

I did the submission on DMOZ 20 days before but till now my site is not listed in DMOZ.
So I want to know how much time it take to approve the submission or to list the site.

    Gaurav

It can take years to get listed in Dmoz. It all depends on the category and editors.

Now that you've submitted it, just forget about it and focus more on other aspects. Many people have been waiting for years, and some were accepted within a few months.

To infinity and beyond is the standard approval time expectation of DMOZ. :)

You can get married or something, have a family in the mean time. ;)

    1. DMOZ editors don't care about PR.
    2. That's not correct.
    3. Yes, the submitted site has to provide unique content and usefulness to Internet users, to be accepted.

I wouldn't worry about DMOZ to be honest. I submitted to it several times over the last few years and despite my site having hundreds of pages of unique content and despite my site being number one in Google for many keywords it still never gets approved.

Apply and just forget about it. It takes ages for getting into the directory.

too true.... apparently. it's a pity as this used to be such a valuable resource years ago. it's still worth a shot as it's a trusted authority site if you can get in
