If it's only the database and setup the vps that's not a problem either.

I can setup a VPS. and transfer ur mysql.

    Setup VPS Cost: $20

    Transfer Database Cost: $10.

    Total: $30.

<--- Thought VPS was already setup.

Hi there, you want to stay away from Unmanaged if you are a novice. What are you going to do when apache shuts itself down as VPS is unreliable and you need to reboot your system but you have no idea how to do so? Also by chance is your hosting provider for your VPS servebyte.com ? downtime through that provider occurs daily.

any how $150.00 to move a site ansi and not even help the person secure their server? now that is total robbery. I am willing to assist free of charge. I don't exactly meet the feed back score of 10 as I just joined but I am willing to guide you on what to do via MSN at anthonyownz@hotmailDOTcom and you can do it yourself. I can have many people vouch for me and will be starting up a thread so my friends can see it so I can get my feedback up higher.

    Regards,
    Anthony

How is $150 robbery? because this is digital point? everything must be $3? is that it? Configuration takes time. time is worth money. unfortunately for you, i don't live in india. i can not buy a camel for $5. and i'm not quite sure where i said that their VPS would not be secure after i was finished. i guess i missed that. $150 is cheap. maybe not DP-Cheap, but it is cheap.

and also, it's a VPS with Linode. a company who has a pretty solid reputation when it comes to VPS providers. but of course if you had actually read what was needed instead of calling me out because my prices don't meet the dp-standard, you would have known this.

$150 is a ripoff. Setting up Apache, MySQL, PHP, and FTP should take you about 15 minutes if you're using a distro that you know.

    Thank you Austin!

And from India? I am from Toronto Canada and I am capable of probably more online than you are buddy so sit your pathetic ass down and yes I'm calling you out $150.00 to do a 20 minute job? also, your saying I haven't read whats needed? a simple FTP upload of files, a set-up of a MYSQL database, the setup of a firewall, and the set-up of ensuring Apache is properly set-up with mod security is actually just a $20-$30.00 job. Don't be mad that we can steal your business because you are too pricey! Instead why not get competitive and try to beat our prices?

first of all, it doesn't matter where you're from. the india thing was somewhat of a joke towards the price of living in india. and i can assure you that this job is not a "15 minute job". i have setup numerous web servers and have yet to be done in 15 minutes with any of them. as for being capable of "more online than i am", it's doubtful but i will take your word for it. i mean after all, you are the one willing to work for next to nothing. as for getting competitive, digital point is not the place where i want or feel the need to compete for business. it is because of people like you that digital point is so cheap. but you know what they say, you get what you pay for. i'm not going to argue about my prices i am a professional and my prices reflect that. in the end it's what the client decides that matters.

    toodles.

    Guys, chill..
Why not concentrate on the subject instead of fighting each other. Is that how you show professionalism? I doubt that profanitytalker will risk going for any of you with that kind of attitude.
