    Hello there designers,

    I need a new logo which I need to look good. I have seen some excellent entries on other contests so this I think is a great place to run my first contest!

    The Company:

    TailoredToSuit.com - is a site similar to Zazzle/Spreadshirt/Thredless which allows users to create their own shirts and suits online made specifically to their own body measurements. You design it, and TailoredToSuit builds it essentially! The company caters for men aged between 18-40 but women may also use the site on behalf of their men.

    The Logo:

    The name of the logo is TailoredToSuit

    I will consider variations such as "Tailored To Suit" "TailoredToSuit.com" etc if they work well.

    I want something elegant, clear, stylish and easy to remember.

    It has to look very professional with themes of tailoring, classic, create your own, luxury fashion and the blend of old and new when we think about the convergence of the fine tailoring with innovative online design tools.

    Simple is good but not bland.

    Colours you can use: It needs to work well with both a dark - blacks/dark greys theme and (if possible) a bright coloured theme - white/light grey. The website is black and dark grey. You can use as many colours or as few as long as you satisfy the requirements above.

    Winner will be paid $80 via paypal. Winner agrees to do some small alterations if requested. Logo must be scalable and vector if possible. Files must be supplied in PSD or AI format.

    Any questions feel free to ask. I will endeavour to provide feedback asap but I am not always close to a computer. I will close this contest in 7 days - on Thursday 30th of July as I want to give everyone who wants to enter plenty of time. Also this logo is important to me so that is why I will let it run for a few days. Best of luck to all, and thanks for entering my contest.

    @Aderain thanks for that. Without being too critical, I'm not liking that at all. It fails to illustrate the themes outlined in the requirements. Looks quite cheesy :) Try again if you like.

    @instant87 thanks for that. Not feeling your design at all I'm afraid. Looks amateur - both the font style, drop shadow and icon. Is the icon a brown bear wearing a wasitcoat? :) Please try again if you like.

    @Whipsnade best entry so far. Don't like the Font (too ordinary and not elegant enough). It needs to be more classic and elegant and convey the themes outlined. Good luck.

    The entire point of a logo is that it is an original design by which a company or figure is instantly recognised. This is on Google images, and may well have been used several hundreds or even thousands of times across the web for varying purposes. It's quite insulting that you should even bother entering competitions in which other designers have slaved hours on end to come up with something original, only for you to pass this this off as your own work. Try again, sonny.

    @soulslasher6
    Many thanks for your entry. You followed some of my requirements: the type is quite befitting and the use of the icon clearly points to tailoring. However I would say that I'm looking for something a bit more 'iconic' if that makes any sense - stronger, more professional and polished looking. The icon also looks quite unfinished and I dont think its a good choice. Perhaps no icon is needed at all, or something very subtle. Out of all of the submissions so far, yours is leading the contest!

    @Whipsnade
    Looks better but still a long way off what would be acceptable I'm afraid. Perhaps you could try a new direction? I don't like the shadow, the font or the lapels within the star.

    @mijie
    Indeed. I don't think the illustration works well - its too old fashioned for a company that is breathing life back into the tailoring trade!

    @Graffworld2
    Thanks for your entry. The font isn't too bad and is clear to read. You have managed to pack a lot of words in. I don't really like the yellow icons and I would remove the caption. Perhaps try another font also. Refer to pictures following for inspiration.

    @j0opre
    Thank you. I don't really like this one I'm sorry. The reflections, the models, the up arrow, the colour choices - all quite cluttered and amateur looking

    @evasenet
    Thank you. I think the icon of the measuring tape is dominating too much. The focus should be on the font and the icon (if used at all) should be only a gesture. I also don't like the illustrations hanging out of the T's. The font needs to be stronger and changed.

    @some1nu
    Thanks for your submission. If i were to pick a favorite it would have to be the third one with the star icon. Having said that it don't like it that much for many of the same reasons that have been mentioned previously. It generally gives a sense of amateur - particularly the star shape - why choose this?
