How much would this cost? (VPS)

    Hey, I'm looking for buy a vps, and I dont have a huge amount of money to spend. I'm just wondering how much the following would cost /month. (I will be hosting a game)

    50gb of space
    Un metered bandwidth or 100mbps
    Cpanel
    1Gig of ram Minimum Guaranteed.

    This is pretty much the requirements, how much do you think this would cost.

    For guaranteed ram you need VMware hosting or XEN, as these don't allow you to oversell. For my VPS company I use VMware.

    A VPS requires RAM... I take it this will be your first VPS, you need to think about how much traffic you are going to get and how much RAM your sites will use..

    guaranteed ram can be provided by most of the virtualization solutions on the market, like Virtuozzo or any other

    what is your budget for a VPS with this specifications?

    1gig of ram is alot and will probably affect the cost more than anything. go for a dedi if you can afford a few more bucks, or just use shared / reseller hosting.

    I dont get my 1gig of ram costs so much, i could buy 4 gigs of ram for 40$ for my pc and own it. So 1gig would be what, 10$ ? and then they could charge you 5$ a month extra for 1gig of ram

    Lol there are different types of ram man. It all depends, but people want to make a profit, they aren't all in to help you...

    I know but still :p for the price they charge for the server I think I'll ship them one and pay them 20$ a month to host it lol.

    My guess is ..... starts from 35-40$/month. IMO better request a quote at WHT forum.

    If you want a unmanaged vps then you get it for $20 - $35 monthly.

    Un metered bandwidth or 100mbps

    I don't think you could get unmetered, realistically.

    with those specs + cPanel , you are probably looking at 45-65 per month from a decent VPS provider.
