drinkinh too much water and sleeping wont be soething good i mean you are sleeping so much water in your stomach i doubt its good
I had read many books on healthy . It is better you don't drink much water after 10:00 pm before you go to bed .
It is true that you need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. But drinking that many before you sleep. Not good, it will just keeps you awake going to the bathroom.

Once someone drank a 5 gallon jug of water and he drowned to death. Just dont drink as much water as that and you will be fine.
Unless fluid gets into your lungs you wont drown but i think its the kidneys that quickly stop working if anyone consumes a massive amount of water too fast.
Your friend is right. You should not drink a lot of water just before you go to sleep. The best thing you can do is, drink a lot of water 1 hour before you go to sleep. It'll be good for a sound sleep. When you'll wakeup at morning, drink 1 or 2 glasses of water.
