Hello my fellow Dpers. There are few things i want to ask, and want to be clear about..Those things been on my head for a long time now..I don't consider myself as a religious type of person, either a atheism, whatever they called these day. I don't beleived we come from out of nowhere or created by some magical creature(as God)..My question are: how many Gods are they?. Moise, Mohammed, are they the same people? Why there are so many Gods? Who's Jesus? Why there so many religions?
LOL too many GODs?!! would it work if there's too many bosses on head of a company for example? I believe there's only one God and Jusus, Mohammed and Moses and others are Prophets. so many religions because God kept sending Messengers to people trying to show them the proper way until it works BTW, Prophets are sent to just a nation or a group of people but Messengers are sent to all mankind anyway that's just a sum up try to google something ~yoozy
There has to be a lot of gods, what else would these idiots spend centuries fighting over if there was only one?
Well dont know about others.. But there is only one in Islam and He is Allah Mohammad (PBUH) was his last Prophet.. Actually there are not so many God.. people made prophets their God like Christan and Jews did..
I think, not all christians think "Jesus is a God", there's some others who believe He's a messenger of God, like Muslims do. (not sure about that) ~yoozy
Everyone few hundred years, some "wise man" emerges who dislikes the existing beliefs and tries to create something better. religions don't need proof and you can believe what ever you want to. you can create a religion too. IMO, religion is just another superstition....
That's what always get me confused. Is Allah & The Christian God the same. Why people need to create so many Gods. In my opinion if it was one God. I believe we would have more religious people than it is now. With so many Gods and religions people don't what to believed and who to believed.
Why people need to create so many Gods. In my opinion if it was one God. I believe they would so many religious people than it is now.
I do watch the new very often, and I know what are you talking about buddy, killing innocent people is fighting for God according to Islam. I just can't understand your equation: one God would imply more religions ?! how is that ? ~yoozy
religion says man is a creation of god. the fact is that god (or at least religion) is a product of man's imagination. as different people think in a different way, the world has ended up with so many religions. and no religious belief in this world is in the majority. so whatever the truth be, majority of the people are going to be proved wrong after their death.....
You might want to tell that to all the Islamic extremists who are killing in the name of Allah on a daily basis.
As far as I know, there is only one true God. One true religion and one true church. Jesus = Son of God.
These are not Muslims in regard of Islam cause Islam doesn't allow to kill innocent people we in Algeria suffered from terrorism long before 911, people claim themselves fighting for Allah, these are not Muslims in regards of Islam that's a wide range conspiracy I think you all know about the New World Order I hope you get it ~yoozy
There used to be many more Gods than this. The ancient Greeks had a God for everything that was unexplained and every superstition. The Romans had quite a few Gods, as have many other civilizations. At least today we have it down to a manageable number. If there was a supreme deity convention, we could probably get them all in the same room. (I'd like to see that seating chart)
So Muslim called Allah a God, What's the name of Christian God? I seen a few posted that claim Jesus was a amateur.
Christians call their God , "God", "Yahweh", "Jehovah". They believe that Jesus was the son of God. Other religions do not share this belief
Yesterday i was doing a little shopping, I heard two ladies argued about Jews. So something come to my mind.. I want to know if Judaism(Jews) & Christianity are the same? If yes, why not merge the two together. Like i said it will a lot less easier to convince people to join a religions if we have a lot less to be choose from.
They are not the same. Jews follow teachings from religious Yiddish writings and Christians follow different teachings transcribed into Latin and then English. Side Note : The King James version of the bible that so many Christians follow, was actually commissioned by an English King...King James I...in the 1600's and was the first known English language translation of the Holy Bible. Christians believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God "Jehovah" and Jews don't believe that Jesus was the son of God. Jews believe the sabbath is Saturday, and Christians believe it is Sunday. Christians believe that Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus, Jews don't believe in Jesus, so Christmas is not the celebration of anything... Jews celebrate Hanukkah, also referred to as "The Festival of Lights", is a Jewish festival which begins on November 30th through December 7th. Hannukah commemorates the victory of the Maccabees (led by Judah) over the Hellenistic Syrians in a revolt that took place around 165 BCE- (Before Common Era). Jews don't believe in Christ, so they don't use B.C. , which means "Before Christ". If there ever were such a communion of the 2 different beliefs, the whole not believing in Jesus thing would be a deal breaker for most Christians. Interestingly enough, many religions (Muslims, Christians, and Jews) agree that most of the original teachings and history of their prospective religions, begun in the same region of the world in the middle east, they just disagree on who started what, who said what, and what writings should be scripture and religions teachings as dictated by a supreme being, and which are just some guy scribbling down some random thoughts. Different Christian sects follow different teachings....it's not all the same book. Catholics and Baptists aren't interchangeable and read different bibles, just as different sects of Judaism are different. It all basically amounts to the same thing, with the biggest disagreements being about who said what, and who was "Holier"than who.
