Underage and needing pay

    Hello everybody,

I'm becoming more and more active here and really need to get this straightened out right away. I am only seventeen years old so I can't take out my own checking account. This leads me to believe I cannot verify my paypal. I'm going to college in a month but I can't do business online? There must be a way to fix this. Any thoughts/help are appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Befragen

Get a parent or guardian to set you up an account? Then when your 18, setup your own and transfer all funds

First, this isn't a problem. There is no fix. It can't be " straightened out "

The issue is your age - Financial Institute, Bank, Creditor, Loan Sharks - Cannot make an under 18 year old sign a binding contract.

So, Paypal can't make you sign a contract or terms - So you cannot do anything really business related until your 18 years or older.

Your mother is doing the best thing, shes keeping legit. If she signs up an account for you to use - this is fraud.

I understand how frustrating this is, However you need to understand there is a world much bigger than the little one you see yourself in - once your 18 you will be much wiser with your funds and business ventures.

Trust me, i used to be in your position.

    Good things take time.

You need to be at least 18 years old to get paypal account.
By the way,you still can earn money by using cash.
What i mean is when the job is done, you ask the buyer to transfer the money to your bank account.

Loan sharks will lend you money...but if you dont give it them back when they want it..you will pay the price.

This is actually false, if your mother makes a joint account in which it is under both of your names, it is not fraud at all. So basically talk you rmother into it, explain to her how it will help you manage money and save!

Find yourself a good part-time job, it's how most college students get through their studies! We've all been through it, and the experience on your CV will help you when you're looking for a job after graduation. Forget about get rich quick methods, they are no use to you - that's why you're going to college right?

all you can legally do is to get your parents or any other adult that you trust to help you.
