One of our site, its australian TLD
www.xyz.com.au ranks well for 7 keywords that we are targeting.

We are in top 10 for 5 of them. But what happens is once every week, we are kicked out by google and we are no where in top 100. Again after couple of days, we are back in top 10. This has been the cycle for past 3 weeks.

Can anyone help me to figure out whats going on?

    Has this happened to anyone??

if its a new site, this is normal. if its an aged site, google is adjusting your ranking and eventually it will level out. if you just started recently targeting these keywords, this is normal and will eventually level out.

You are being integrated into Google's data. It will settle down. Just hope that when it settles you have your rankings, else you will have a great deal of work to do.

sites that get good links during sandbox are going to get hell lot of traffic after this period is over - so keep building more links. You got to wait for few more weeks for steadiness.

Work on your site consistently (I'm assuming everything is okay on your site). These things happen sometimes.

I've noticed this with one of my sites in the past. Everything turned out fine in a few weeks' time.

I don't agree with you on this one. A few questions: how old is the domain? How often do create new content? Building any backlinks?

domain is 3 month old. create content once every 15 days. Yes we are building backlinks.

The keyword that we are targeting is our domain name as well. In google.com.au it shows up 3rd or 4th in ranking. But every Monday, we lose the ranking and its back on thursday and friday.

If my site was in sandbox, why would it rank high. This happens every damn week.

If your site was in the sandbox it wouldn't show up in the first page at all. The sandbox does not happen to every site.

The 'google dance' which is what is happening to you, however, is extremely common. This goes on for weeks and sometimes months as google updates all of it's datacenters (they have many) to where their algorithm says you should rank. Try using http://www.seocritique.com/datacentertool/ to get a better idea of where your site will end up after the dance.

I have the same experience also. I don't know about this until I read this thread. But during the "dancing" sometimes if lucky I can get $100++ with adsense alone with just one new site because of the well ranking in SERP :D but after a month gradually no traffic from search engine at all. I'm actually got the traffic from bing. But honestly now there are no traffic at all from bing for that site. So what I do I just duplicate all the methods (create new website) again and again and get some decent amount of adsense income. well just my 2 cents. :D
