I m asking this question here because here mods are active. so is this official twitter account ?? http://twitter.com/digitalpoint or its someone else' work ?
If I were to Twitter, do you think I would do something as moronic as regurgitating the RSS feed for this forum? (Hopefully that answers your question)
i think there should be official twitter account similar to this, running automated using RSS feeds or atleast for some major event log (some thing like that) think over it. he is not only using the nickname, the account also have name and description like official account. He must be spamming there. check his follower !!
You would probably find there are several RSS feeds feeding Twitter and a zillion other sites duplicating DP content and many other popular web site content.
There hasn't been a "major event" since the site opened, so it probably would be pretty empty for a long time...
Then you should make your own twitter account Shawn, and post copies of stuff in your blog to it. I'm sure alot of DP'ers would fallow your account.
stops them putting CCTV outside your house they might read your twitter instead. sure you will still have the odd crack pot hiding in the bushes but a few of them might just click refresh on twitter for you to post.
May be some updates like Adsense revenue sharing is removed etc., coz people are used to reading twitter kind of announcements more easily.
Thats what i was talking about, n now DP was down for upgrade. The message can be broadcasted on twitter so that the people will easily get the idea.
If most of you guys send a tweet to @SPAM with a link to this thread, then that account can get deleted. Example : @SPAM - @digitalpoint is a SPAM Fake Account, Check the reply from the real website owner http://tinyurl.com/lr99nc http://twitter.com/amitbhawani/status/2817251817
Actually no, please send it as a pm. They've asked a number of times not to twit spam reports as it just promotes the spam accounts and, if it's a pm, it'kll be there in front of them instead of falling off the end. It's still up by the way.
