when do the google-god update PR?

    I Wonder if anyone can tell me when the Google-god does the update for page rank? I think I deserve a higher rank :) for my site: www.get-the-best-deals.com/electronics

    Is the update at one specific time or is it all the time? If you know what I mean?

    This gets asked a lot. The consensus is that it is done quarterly. Since the last update was in April, we're looking at early August or end of July.

    PR changes at any time, but only visible to public when updated.

    If last two updates are anything to go by, the next PR update should happen anywhere close to the end of the month....in about a week! :)

    If you think about what is required to calculate every link and the pr it gives to another site the computing power is huge this is why they can just click an update button and have it done when we like it. Every 3 months or so it comes round which should be early august.

    Google update PR every day internally at Google!! They just update a historic snapshot of that internal PR every now and then to the toolbar for our amusement. Do not hold your breath for the SERPS to change when they do the export, as that PR has already been factored into the ranking when the push happens.

    Why are these update threads not banned? The answers are always the same.

    It seems to be quarterly for the most part, but in reality they update PR whenever they damn well feel like it.

    And as a quick advice:
    Forget about PR and focus more on your website ranking in the SERPS ;)
