$50 Logo/Mascot Contest. Ends in 72 hours. PayPal Payment

Hi,

We need a Logo/Mascot for our site that is under development.

The site name is "Ad Brute"

The site is similar to adsense, adbrite and such. It is an Advertising Network.

Any colour scheme is accepted as our site has not been made yet. However when it is it will probably consist of whites/blues/greys. So please keep that in mind.

We don't have too much of a concept in mind. So we are leaving it up to you as to what you think would be a cool logo/mascot for a company like this. One idea we did have is a tough looking guy but we couldn't get past that idea stage.

It doesn't even have to have a mascot. Just some awesome looking text. We are open to anything really. However we would like a web 2.0 feel to it. ( Web 2.0 colours )

This needs to be a vector. It should be able to be resized and not lose its quality.

This must look very professional as well.

But please note. If there is nothing that we really like. We hold the right not to choose a winner. From what I have seen at DP. This probably wont be the case though.

Also please note. That we would prefer designs to be posted in the thread. And not PM'ed. It makes it easier for us when we are judging them.

 

Wow its coming close to nearly a day and only 1 entry so far.

This is my 1st contest. So I was just wondering? What ( if there is anything ) is turning people of joining in this contest? I think $50 is pretty decent for a prize and we are open to any suggestions you designers have. I thought I would see some more competition in this. I really want to see what you talented designers can do

Also I thought I would note.

The word "Brute" sort of refers to as Brute Force or Strength.

Our slogan is "Brute Force Web Advertising" You don't need that in the logo. But keep that in mind for your concepts.

Feel free to do whatever comes into your mind with this one guys. So long as it is clean and professional. We will be open to all ideas.

 

Would you consider something like an Ogre of some sort to match your website? As that's what I think of when I hear Brute. And it's sort of resembling Brute Strength.

 

Indeed. We are open to any ideas you have. An ogre would be good. However we would need it to look quite professional and not childlike as this is a logo which will be representing a company. But after seeing many of the logo's made here on DP I don't think that will be a problem as many of them are very professional.

kind of a mr. clean approach-- someone who's clearly big, tough and strong but also professional and trustworthy at the same time. kind of a brute you'd like to have on your side.

Heres some feedback:

Could you please use capitals for "a" and "b". So it would be AdBrute.
And could you please remove the .com

Other than that it looks great. Can't wait to see it with colour and everything I love the design of the mascot.

 

Feedback for Wireless Designing.

The colour scheme is nice. However the logo is a bit too simplistic and not brandable enough for us sorry. Its a bit too common. We would like something that when someone sees it. They could instantly say oh thats AdBrute.

We need something that emphasizes the idea of Brute Force or strength a bit more.

I really like that as a design for the Text. No work needs to be done on the text/font. Can't decide if I like the blue or orange one better though.

However if you could find some way to incorporate the idea of Strength or Brute Force into it. That would be great.

The fist looks good. I like the way you have done it and its position looks good as well. However I am not to fond of the font. It doesn't look like a font that can be branded into a company logo. Could you please try some other variations?

Sorry but we don't really like the colour you have chosen. Also the mascot doesn't really match up with the idea of strength or brute force. We would also like to see Ad and Brute being different colours.

We aren't too fond of the logo. As that "brute" doesn't have the kind of look we are aiming for. We are trying to show Strength or Brute Force. Also the font is a bit too simplistic and we would like some nice web 2.0 colours used.

Excellent feedback in this thread. I'd happily join in if I had the skills to create a mascot... but sadly I dont! I might get my husband to do a sketch though and see what I can do with it. Nice work here so far... loving jnjnnino's!
