An Affiliate Network that does not require your SSN?

Is there an affiliate network that does not require you to use your SSN for sign-up or to get payed? More famous ones would be nice.

Also, what do they use your SSN for? Yes, I'm sure this is a very noobish question, but I have no idea.

IF the affiliate is not requiring your SSN then I would be very scared to use them

They are paying you money which they have to report on their taxes thus the reason for needing your SSN from them so they can send your proper tax documents at the end of the year

All affiliate networks in the United States would require your SSN for tax purposes. You should look for affiliate networks based in Canada and the UK if you don't want to give your SSN.

However kind in mind that just because an affiliate network doesn't report your earnings to the IRS, it doesn't mean you don't have to pay taxes on them.

    Alvin,
Since you are "earning" money from an affiliate site, they need your SSN OR a Tax ID (you can get one from the IRS at their site, just search on Tax ID..I would have looked up the link and posted it, but I thought that might get me in "trouble"). They need your SSN or Tax ID so they can report your earnings to the IRS. I understand your reluctance to give out your SSN, but the Tax ID should pose no problems.

I hope this answered your question.

ssteiner is right. They need your SSN for tax purposes.

If you don't want to give out your SSN, you can always apply for an EIN (Employer ID Numbers) instead and give that to the affiliate networks.

You can apply directly at the IRS website.

Many times you can just put 0000000000 as your social. They really should not have that info unless you make a certain amount of money with them.

The limit is just $600 a year. If you make anything over that they have to report it to the IRS.

Also, if you put down all 0's some networks might reject your application.

I wouldn't trust in an affliate network that doesn't ask that sort of information. They have to pay taxes and report their incomes so it sounds pretty reasonable if they do. Anyway if you feel suspicious about them try looking for reviews about them on the web.
    Good Day:):):)

Yep clickbank is right. Its got tones of cool stuff to sell. Some publishers are (get rich quick) but there is allot of software and how to ebooks. I have purchased some of these ebooks and I would say most of them are worth buying and or selling.

    Cheers
