If i get 100 backlinks from different domain names but all of them are hosted on same web host then what google will think of it ? 100 different backlinks basing on domain names. or 1 backlink because all of them are on same ip address?
If i get 100 backlinks from different domain names but all of them are hosted on same web host(having same class c IP Address) then google will think of it as 100 backlinks but it will decrease the value of those links. Unique Class C IP backlinks will give much effects in ranking rather than same IP address backlinks. It is advised to get backlinks from sites having different Class C IP ranges.
Well it is extremelt unlikely, unless you are doing unnatural link building, in which case you should go and read up some more on c class ip addresses, it basically would probably not have the same effect as 100 natural backlinks but they should be counted unless the sites are deemed spammy.
Different Class C IP range means sites having unique domains, unique IP address. If your domain for example has an ip address of 191.140.0.1 it belongs to a C-class network of 191.140.0 and this C network has 255 ip-addresses which are from 191.140.0.0 up to 191.140.0.255. To know about whether 2 sites has same class c ip links or not, go here http://www.webmaster-toolkit.com/class-c-checker.shtml
There is a chance that all are counted in backlinks, but still might not alter your ranking. For ranking what you need is link from different IP addresses.
If your site raises other spam flags by doing things like building links quickly, keyword stuffing, duplicate content etc then google will probably discount all the links. If the rest of your site is clean then there will not be a problem although there is a chance the links will be devalued somewhat.
