New forum & website theme/layout?

The current skin DP has is.. well, it's the default one made green. The other available one is.. the default one, unchanged (blue). Perhaps a fully custom made skin would be nice? I'm only thinking to make it more attractive and welcoming to both new and old members.

There is also the main site, http://digitalpoint.com/. I don't know how many people actually use this site but IMHO it, and it's layout, is getting a bit outdated. You really wouldn't know that there is a thriving community hidden behind it - it just looks like one of the many outdated websites on the web.

So, I think an update is in order. Opinions?

My opinion is leave well enough alone. I like it as it is and abhore sites that constantly change and keep moving things around. Functionality is the keyword in my book.

Well, there is ofcourse the option to change themes at the bottom. A new theme wouldn't even have to be the default one, just those who want to use it can.

My main concern was the main website. Like I said, it doesn't really show the depth of the DP community. Everybody has different tastes, but I personally would never buy products from a site like that, unless I knew it had such a big community.. which isn't very clear from a first glance.

Sorry, not going to make changes simply to make changes. Would only cause more confusion for people who are used to how things work than anything else.

Clear link to active forum = more traffic = more money... :p

Oh well. I guess I never have to look at the main site, and the forum theme is fairly 'businessy'.. which is what DP is all about. So it's not too bad, really.
