The only problem with blogger is when you place a comment, it makes a link to your profile and not your site. I know you can change it to use Name/URL, but not all blogs allows it.

You should still have a blogger profile and comment with Name/URL where you can. That Next Blog button is sure fun.

Google shows very little number of backlinks, but yahoo shows much bigger number of backlinks. It is because of competition.

 

There is no special type of links for google, links are detected if the page the are on is indexed, however Google tends to deceive people by not showing all the links
