When I see all these numbers - I think there is hope.

But I am not sure if anyone actually rely solely on Adsense income?

Maybe I should rephrase that. I know there are lots of people who make a full-time income off AdSense. Whether or not that's all they do, that's a different story. They usually do other things as well, but not necessarily because they have to.

AdSense can be really unreliable sometimes. For instance, in the summer lost of people report drops in earnings. Or your account could be randomly banned. It's always best just to get a job and have AdSense as money on the side.

Note that early bird catch the worm and this is the fact.
For hugh forum/sites which already operated for more than 5 years, this is possible. For new sites, webmasters have to try something new in order to make their sites unique.

Couldn't agree more. Unless you become one of the big players, you should always have job.

Yes there are, but those can can survive on adsense probably don't as it is unwise to be that dependant on any one source.

No, perhaps they do it to try and protect advertisers money & click fraud, in many cases when dealing with a one size fits all there will be casualties but of them I would say probably 90% of genuine one's get re-instated.

Yep, but you should have another source of income in case something happens with your traffic or account.

Unless you have a large site you started building several years ago (like other people mention) if you want to make big money with adsense you have to focus completely on it, building site after site and testing and tracking everything. Contintually study and replicate what works and scrap what doesn't. Keep an adsense journal (I use a blog) to keep track of your notes.

Many people just make a site and put adsense on it and make a little extra money.
