What Are The Best Methods to get traffic? Where do you pros advertise. I know all the basics search engines etc. I would like In Depth Ideas that have been proven to work........Thanks Alice

 

THe pros increase the SER (Search Engine Ranking), which gains more traffic to the site by raising it's position in the search engine for a given term. They also use PPC or Pay Per Click to gain traffic to the site, but this can be more costly in the long run and only really provides short term shots of traffic.

 

for traffic I use bookmarking and social networks I start with all and see which one gives results. Then just use the ones which gives traffic. It's like trial and error some will some won't, then try to target the ones that will click ads some will some won't. It's a process that takes time and work bit in the long run it helps.

If you have a few years to kill with learning PPC, the cash to blow on PPC until you finally figure out whats working, slaving over SEO (this is ongoing btw and you will have no life thereon as soon as you start if you want to continue to be at the top should you be so lucky) and have loads of time to do the bookmarking and social networking sites thing somewhat effectively, though I rarely find it effective enough if you want the traffic to convert at about 20%+. You need to do what everyone else just suggested.

If you want to do what the 'pros do' you need research your biggest competition, find out what they are doing and who they are targeting. If they are offering an optin, otpin yourself so you can see what they are doing and then do serious media buys for your targeted audience keeping in mind what you have seen your biggest competitor doing.

A big part of it really depends on what type of traffic you are looking for so that would explain why my response may seem so vague and missing pieces to the puzzle.

 

PPC will get more targetted people than any orher systems..

 

Make an entertaining video and share it with everyone you know and have them share it with everyone they know and so forth. This roughly translates to social media, which at its essence is simply word-of-mouth, the best kind of marketing any company can get.

PPC is a great way and has proved to be a frequently used practice for generating traffic. Viral Marketing is the old school word of mouth technique which will always be a classic means for spreading the words and bringing traffic to your site.

generating traffic? Will if you have good contents and
interesting sites then that would be a good reason..
and also, if you have good ranking in Google then there you would be getting good traffic...

 

SEO is the free but very useful way to jenerate traffic, people will find via google and other search engine by your keywords if they are ranked well in serp, and then you get the traffic!

For me it is a combination of article marketing and blog marketing using good SEO techniques. This is a not a short term method, but it has gotten me on page one of Google for thousands of keyword phrases and saved me a bunch on paid traffic.

Do you want generic traffic, or do you want targeted traffic? There is a big difference between the two. You can do social bookmarking, but its going to have a high bounce rate. Stumbleupon sends my sites a nice amount of traffic, but that traffic has a 90% bounce rate. So its not really worth my time.

On the other hand, youtube traffic has about a 20% bounce rate. So I can do video blogging and get targeted traffic, or I can stumble, get random traffic with a high bounce rate.

My main source of targeted traffic is video blogging on youtube. It sends my site several thousand people monthly and with a low bounce rate.

3. Traffic Exchange

 

Video marketing (on YouTube).

 

I agreed ppc campaign will be most easier way..
