If you start banning people doing that, where does it end? Why shouldn't someone that has a site with dead links also be banned? People aren't getting any content in that case either.

I'm sorry, but if cpalead gateway get the "scam" trademark by our users, rarely they are going to take another survey! Once they see a page with the gateway they are just going to hit back and keep looking! Now if the websites have working links and such, once they complete the survey and get what they want they are most likely to return.

Think like the visitor, if you were him/her, if you have given your data in one of those surveys just to find out that it was a scam, how pissed you wouldn't be? I would totally lose faith in this kind of gateway and I would never take one survey again.

So yeah, if the webmaster is doing it INTENTIONALLY because he/she is an utter a$$, then a ban is well deserved. Just look a that website, it wasn't a broken link, it was just an image with a video streaming looking!

 

100% agree. I wrote a massive post about this quite a few pages back. To be honest though, not saying CPALead IS doing it. But they are probably making more off the blackhat publishers then they are whitehat ones . But possibly the pool of people falling for it is running out.

You definitely need to create your own 100% custom skin nowadays to differentiate yourself away from people giving up fake content.

Maybe the guy didin't knew his links were down.
Just think a bit , maybe this guy is living with this money paying his rent of he has debts.
If he gets banned and his money are taken away it can ruin his life.
Believe me . If i would get banned that will ruin my life.

That is bull shit. The guy didn't know his links were down? He was linking to a TV show affiliate - There were no videos in the first place.

If he gets banned, it's his own fault. Troy said before that these type of sites were NOT allowed. It doesn't matter if he has rent to pay or not, rules are rules

I'm chill man, I didn't report anyone, but look, if I see a website which is cheating its users, then I'd most likely to report it. It's not a matter of making enemies, it's a matter of taking care of what is giving me the income I need to pay my debts, so because of one guy that screws up because of its laziness we all shall pay the price? I don't think so, if he wanted to make it the right way he could, but he choose to trick its users and also the network.

You're playing the Devil's Advocate here, as I told before, if it was just a offline link, a ban wouldn't be necessary, but he is just using an image which takes the user to another affiliate program instead of the show itself. In my world it is not honesty and if it is not honest, it's against CPALead rules, therefore if he gets banned it's no ones fault but his!

We could use some more better paying and easy to fill surveys
Conversion ain't that good for the surveys that we have now, I sure do miss those 3 0.90 paying surveys.. those were the best converting.. they still are but they pay only 0.20 now...

 

I am surprised such a big deal was made about the request of that site being banned from cpalead. I would think the publishers here would want to protect their money makers rep. I have been keeping an eye on the website in question for a very long time and actually completed the survey to watch the episodes before I had all the episodes up on my own simpsons site. They were down then and are down now. In fact many of the episodes on the site were pictures of a video player instead of an actual player.

If they allow sites like these they will end up like zango. But I think those sites are against their tos anyway.

Then if you are using firefox you should be able to scroll down with your mouse scroll wheel. And the darkness of the gateway will end before the actual page. So you should be able to click behind the gateway. If you click the player, it is actually a image link, it will lead to graboid or sidereel, (I think he has a rotator script).

I think the easiest way to tell if sites are scams. Are if you can scroll down and the darkness doesnt carry all the way to the bottom. Not sure why, but if its just images it wont go down to the bottom. But as soon as you add a flash object behind it, it blacks out the whole page.

 

I swear man, if they don't start removing theses spam ass fake content site, I am going to start bumping out my own fake contents site, why do it the hard way when you can do it the easy way right? I suggest you guys follow the trend too.

The guy owns a bunch of tv show sites and does that. They have been reported in the past.

Also that guy used to be a member here but got banned. He created a new account but i don't know if he got banned again or not.

 

As a matter of fact, its not much harder to use the videos. Its a pointless scam.

AND many many more, ALL of these are owned by the same person and most of these sites have the cpalead gateway on them, BUT not a single site have the promised content behind the gateway, it's just pictures of a video player or a link to graboid!

I've checked this thread way back, and i've looked over old "scam links" from months back, they still have the gateway running, do you want the scammers to make you look bad or what?!

Please disable these accounts ASAP and deny them their money earned thru scamming!!

Wow, good research, bud! I checked a few sites, some have cpalead gateway and some now have Zango gateway

Anyway, hope cpalead disables their account or at least gives them a warning to add the content. I agree with mike810, its really a pointless scam. It doesn't take much time at all to add the videos, they just have to embed it. Hardly takes 20-30 secs per post.
