I am working with a SEO as a Blogger. Our work is just to do :- 1) Article submissions 2) Contextual link building 3) Directory submissions 4) Link building My question is how can i become a SEO? Any help about SEO wold be great..... CB
The main thing about becoming successful at Search Engine Optimization is practice. After you make each site and rank them you learn a little more. It takes time to learn - learn where you can get good backlinks etc etc. Actually SEO is kinda boring because you are always working then waiting etc. I like to target many keywords so I am always busy but many start off with only one or two keywords are it seems like nothing is working.
I completely agree with WebsiteKing. You have to keep at it, learn more if you can, and target a few long tain keywords to reach number 1 fast to make yourself happy.
READ READ READ and make sure to test all you can. There is so much to be learned by testing yourself the stuff you read or even think might work. Never know till you try!
I started off by reading Aaron Wall's book and begin to optimize my sites. You can become a SEO once you have managed to optimize web sites for traffic and experience significant improvements =) All the best!
Do you mean how do you find SEO clients? If so, investigate local business networking organisations (e.g. BNI, BRX, NRG, Open Coffee). I get a lot of business through BNI for example. If you mean how to learn the skills needed for SEO, it comes down to finding good info on the Internet and to start practising on sites under your control. Here are some excellent places to start learning... SEO for Bloggers Excellent and detailed introduction to SEO 66 ways to build back links Start following me on Twitter (link in signiture below), as I find and post links to these types of resources on my Twitter page. If you have a Facebook page, click the 'become a fan' link in the signiture where I've just started a more focused resource. One final comment - writers have an advantage in SEO. If you're a prolific writer and good researcher, you'll be able to take advantage of forums, blogs and article sites to build contextual links and use social media sites to generate clicks and buzz for your clients. There's also plenty of money to be made in SEO content creation for clients. This gets you regular ongoing work, and helps clients build much larger sites making it easier to compete for page one positions.
Very simply put its a lot of consistent hard work Not that it is physical labor or anything 1) First you have to have a certain mindset - it is like playing chess i assume , ( although I never got into chess) you have to be intrinsically curious - why did Google rank or not rank this I have run into many types who have purchased a web on ebay or even account executives at major ad agencies who do not fathom the work involved To their words "SEO is a lot of work" 2) If you have the mindset then 99 % of the effort is jut plain drudgery simple a that . The experts will point out again and again that there is nothing rocket science about SEO 3) That being said what a previous person pointed out is that you have to be up on things reading and following , reading which includes audio tapes ( guess mp3s) and videos There are a lot of resources online , a lot of blogs and a lot of commercial products that they want you to pay for Lastly learn how to do things manually Tools are great and I could not live without them ( or i would be hard pressed) If you have done it manually for a while , you will have a better frame of reference of what the numbers mean or do not mean If you are inexperienced and start using tools early its just mud against the wall , plus you will probably be inundated with all types of data The beauty of SEO is that few people are willing the effort and efforts Results take a while , which goes against our culture of instant results , however its a two edged sword Once you are in , its hard and a long time to be knocked out There is always a lag , so that when competitors have been dislodged , its a long time till they realize and can do something about it for results More and more is going internet as people become more familiar , more comfortable on buying online and more proficient in research and buying online TV is on the way out Lastly few large companies , that have tons of resources , are really utilizing SEO The small guy can do well Good luck
Hi,,,,,CUTEBOY! you may need to first, do a little bit of research finding out how many SEO companies there are in your particular area. Analyse your competition. Also find out how many businesses and people situated in the immediate area are likely to use your service and who don’t already have their websites optimised. Make sure that there is a need for the service before you invest all your money and time into establishing your business. You then also need to develop a strong search engine optimisation plan. I hope this little suggestion works for you........ thanks

Hi Friend, Search Engine Optimization is an art. The more you do, the more you are expert in it. In order to target a Search Engine, you should always put Google as a first preference in your Search Engines. Basically, when you do SEO, there are two main factors to consider. ~ On-Page Optimization ~ Off-Page Optimization On-Page Optimization mainly consists of writing quality pages with a bit keyword density in it. You should daily update your website / Blog so that search engines like Google find new content and give it rankings. Note that Google always prefers a website with 100 pages over a website with 10 pages. So, build Quality pages on day-to-day basis. Off-Page Optimization consists of building quality links to your website. This can be done using Article Marketing, Social Bookmarking, and lots of other things. Read around the forum and find some articles; this will help you to learn SEO, and in long run, once you many pages are ranked, you can mark yourself as a Search Engine Optimization Expert. Do note, in SEO, you can only mark yourself as an Expert if your websites are on first page of Google
well for a start you would need to realise that points 1-3 = point 4. the best way is to practice on your own site(s) and find the methods that suit you. then think about how you can offer this as a service.
Learn about Page Rank, Backlinks, Keyword Density, Web 2.0 Properties, Etc, these terms are all important to know for SEO
Hope you don't mind but your question is quiet confusing. You said that you are working as a blogger in SEO and you have mentioned too the other things that an SEO does which you are doing currently. (Correct me if I'm wrong) And to answer the question how to become a successful SEO? For me a successful SEO is when he/she managed to put the new site to the top without using black hat technique.
