It do not means that you will have website for number 1 and 2 position, it means that your website will have two sections on the number position.

Well i heard that if two pages of your site is matched for a particular query and that the pages should be listed say 3rd and 5th in the SERPs, google actually list the brings the 5th result as an extension of the 3rd. Does that make any sense?

    tyler1,

I think when someone has 2 results in google SERP-s, that google try to find relevant deep inner page to support theme.

THIS, And... If you have 2 subdomains and the keywords are there.

    2 subdomains = 2 results.

About a year ago if you have 2 pages of your site appear Google SERPs
most of time Google will list the two pages next to each others.
    Example: #1, #2

Now Google may separate the two pages.
    Example: #1, #6

    Exactly. For eg.

Supposing you are having two pages one focussing on "electronics" and other one on " Computers" which is a category under electronics, and say the search keyword is "computers", the "computer" page would appear and also "electronics" could appear too if you have some content about computers in them.

If it's in the colored box at the top - or at the side where it says sponsored links - then it's been paid for through adwords.

I just checked the link out and it looks like the second result is an interior page of your site and shows up similar to a "SiteLink" or sub-page. This means Google finds relevant information on both pages, thus both are displayed. I believe this is what you're asking. :)

These results are called indent results. When you are targeting more than one pages for particular keyword then you will see these kind of results for your website. These results are very useful because there are more probability to get click by visitor.
