Losing faith in adsense-600 visitors-no clicks-this week

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by shoppershunt, Jul 18, 2009.

I had 600 people that came from this forum to my blog looking to download the free ebooks and money making methods i offered..Guess what.. no sucker cliked any ads. I am getting frustrated.

My adsense is positioned well and i even blended the download links with adsense. Still i made only 1 cent..yuck.. i hate myself now.

Is google cheating me or i am doing something wrong..Dudes, pleaze review my site and let me know..( you can have that 1 cent i made).

    my blog

"I had 600 people that came from this forum" This is your problem. people who come from this site will more or less know about ads. Do you you think they will click?

people who know about adsense are much less likely to click adsense ads.

that's why webmaster-related sites have very poor CTR's.

bcoz they are ad-blind..... they don't look at those ads

and even when they look, they know most of the ads.. are just like ads elsewhere....overstatements of quality of products/services.

Alot of people here are webmasters and probably use adsense as well, so you can't expect them to click your ads. I know I very rarely visit ads myself.

like everyone said your visitors is the problem. when i check adsense stats in my analytics i get clicks from visitors from all kinds of different sources except from where people are more into webmastering.

you miss it pal. just because they came form this forum does nto mean that they will click the ads. according to you, the people came to download, not click. This shows that your visitors are not targeted visitors looking or what you have on your pages. try and look for these targeted visitors via article marketing and other means of getting traffic. you will be surorised that you don;t need up to 600 peole to make good money with adsense. i am a living witness. i go after targetd visitors and they give adsense money. :D

Actually I think his visitors were very targeted and that's why he didn't get any clicks. They came for a download and they got that download. He offered something for free and that's what the people that clicked through wanted.

When you have things like this affiliate ads will always be a better option than adsense.

Tried to visit your blog. Looks like Google in reviewing your account.

"Possible Blogger Terms of Service Violations
This blog is currently under review due to possible Blogger Terms of Service violations."

If blogger Bot sees unusual activity of excessive posting, this can happen. Sometimes, they will ask you to manually verify your account.

I just found out too that your blog has been under review for possible TOS violations. could that the reason you are not seeing any click?
And you shouldn't expect any clicks from DP visitors or forums as a whole as we all know the ads. It would be better to have a Good SEO and traffic from organic searches.

    Thanks

@mnvamsi - Usually visitors from google search results click on ads. Regular readers rarely click on ads. Try different placements and color combination.
