Hello Everyone. First Post here... I've been experiencing really great results from bum marketing for some time. I have several "campaigns" and around a thousand articles. I've quit my job and working full time now as an internet marketer. Now, I'm interested in taking the next step and getting into PPC, which I haven't paid much attention to since starting to see good results from article marketing. What I'm interested in knowing is if there is anything to PPC other than simply targeting a large number of long tail keywords and simply sending them to my typical landers? I'm thinking that most of the technicalities of adwords, yahoo and ask are overanalyzing and thinking that it's really just as simple as article marketing, with the exception of paid ads vs articles. Any thought, please? And no - I'm not selling an ebook.
I am really not able to understand what you wanna ask? Are you looking for more info on PPC campaign or looking for some tool to manage your PPC campaign? Please explain..
maybe know one is taking you seriously because you are an "experienced bum" LOL someone had to say it
Well, I say experienced BUM as in - I'm experienced in doing keyword research, writing articles and making money from article marketing. I've never put any money into adwords. Maybe not that experienced in contrast to others but experienced in the sense that I'm actually making money from IM, just not with paid search. What I'm wondering is this... With article marketing, I just research low competition long tail keywords that have few intitle results to rank high and get traffic. Can the same exact thing be done with adwords, yahoo, etc.? Or is there anything specific that needs to be learned before getting into paid search.
The keyword research is basically the same, if you have quit your day job then you are obviously doing something right A thousand articles is a lot, did you write all these yourself and how quickly, just interested. Usually with Adwords you would be directing the traffic to a landing page, I guess the same as you are doing with Bum (snigger) marketing.
I wrote them all - average of about 10 articles a day for 6 months. 5 in the morning and 5 at night. Sometimes, 20 or more on a weekend. Usually when I write articles, I find about 20 phrases/sentences and write articles for them. I suppose that if I use a list of about 50 or so phrases, that I should get decent clickthrough with cheap clicks. Sounds right to you?
I think Adwords is all about volume, so yes all your phrases and then whittle down the ones that are not working. 10 articles a day for 6 months takes a lot of commitment, I guess you really want to be a success. Are you using all the articles for marketing, if so then you could probably do better by using the articles on your own site?
