Isn't godaddy still doing their $1.99 special? There's a couple of threads here talking about it. No idea who these folks are but they come up in a couple of google searches as $1.99 for *.infos: https://www.securepaynet.net/default.aspx?prog_id=owc&gclid=CJK1p8nG3ZsCFR9N5QodxC_HAA edit: It's got $1.99 plastered on the front page but that's not what I'm looking at. Over on the right, you'll see a "View full price chart" link. Click on that and then *.info and you'll see the pricing.
5-6 years ago when the *.tld first came out. You could get up to 25 of them with a single email address. Some domain registars were revoking upwards of 80% of them a month later due to fraud complaints. Many lapsed after the first year since some registrars tried to charge $10-12 for renewal compared to 5-6 most places charge for a *.com We still host a couple of hundred of them though.
I am not sure about free .info, but Godaddy offering them now for $0,89, or $0,79 each if you reg 6 or more.
please let me may it more clear for you all godaddy is offing .info for less than a $ + other fee and it comes to around $1.5 and this is the cheapest .info in the market, REMEMBER to take it for 1 (ONE) year only as for the second year the charge is much higher that the current market price.
I just registered a few .info domains with GD at $0.79. You get this promotional price automatically when you register more then 6 domains.
