I am working on an arcade directory (at the moment there are not many sites)

All links have been set as DoFollow and as I continue to get more listings sites will begin to appear in the featured listings etc for free. This site is not a money making but simply a way to build up a nice arcade directory.

ok on my arcade site www.Flashjunkies.com i started using clicksor but i hate the contextual ads
what is another good program (not google)
so far i tried adbrite (that one is ok)
and now clicksor but i hate the contextual ads it bugs me as an user so as a webmaster i dont want them on the website

what other ad programs you would recommend

Ok, your theme in general is horrible, it is near enough the default. I do liek however you have the featured box, i have the same for my site, i suggest having all thumbs 100x100 looks much better, Your logo is amaeurish and a sore sight for the eyes.

You will also benifit from a lot of SEO, your descriptions are not very long and have few keywords in them. It is one of the best things to do is banner exchanges with mibbi, funklicks, more playerz, etc. Also hard link exchanges are best, handed coded into the footer, sitewide too. They are better for SEO, rather than the links page you have. Which for some reason is called affiliates.

To be honest its something most people ignore so not a major mistake. Even i am still SEOing my descriptions and link exchanges.

 

well to explain its called affiliates because i add the links for people that help out .... im not sure if i want to go into the link exchange thing ....yes the banner is kinda crappy because it was something fast and i didn't had time to deal with that one because im trying to work on the features for the site which will make it stand out.

Yeah i know the thumbnails are not as big as most of the arcade sites .... but actually it doesn't need to be so big ... many major arcade sites don't have the thumbnails big its only the cheesy small sites with tons of ads that pop in your face

Its ok, it may just be pesonal preference ive just never liked small thumbnails, may be due to me struggling to see what is actually happening in them.

 

thats why there is a big feature that goes round and round for the rest just stare at them longer hehe ... I always hated big fat thumbnails it makes the content of the page so ugly .... on mine i gues i can make them a little big bigger ... but i would never make them 100x100
