Interested in hear on fellow DP members to see what is their favorite Home theater brand for televisions, receivers, speakers and anything related.

Personally, I love Sony products. Nearly all my home theater items are Sony. They are great products and haven't had any issues with them. Ok, I might be a bit bias since I run a site about Sony. But then again, I wouldn't have started a site on a specific product if I didn't like it.

So what television or speaker brand do you have and why do you like it?

Interested to see what the DP community likes for Home theater.

I still have Dolby Pro and not 5.1 so you can see my budget isn't home theatre orientated!

I DO have a Toshiba 35" flat screen though that I LOVE :)

Better try Philips HTS 3300 DVD (DivX) Home Theater System.

It's cheap (around USD$200) but better sound and graphic. Includes FM/AM/MW radios built-in. The world first DivX (hardware) player.

1000 watts is good. Remember it splits the watts between all the speakers.

I got a Onkyo system and really like it. It was fairly cheap, I think it was only like $300 or something.

    I concur.

I wouldn't go anything less than 500 for a large bedroom but 1000 would be better suited for a decent sized living room.

unless of course you live in an apartment and your walls are for shi*, then a clock radio might even be too loud.

1000 watts is decent enough for my house. Well maybe I can get some power amplifier to boost the watts up for more sound.

    Everything I have is Sony.

Besides my phones and laptops. Sony phones and PC's kinda suck - IMO

That's alot of Sony items. And I see you have the latest Sony television. The only thing I see that you are missing is the Sony Receiver.

One thing they don't make any more or at least I haven't seen are Sony telephones. I have one that from several years ago.
