Help!! How to minimize spam comments?

    Hi,

    Help me guys, how can I minimize spam comment in my wordpress blogs? Is there anyways? and also is it possible?


    Any advise is highly appreciated..

    I use akismet plugin and once in 3 days I delete all spam comments from spam sections . Its easy and you don't have to worry about spammers .

    Yeah.. you can use plugins... i also get thousands of spam comments... I just ignore them..

    Another vote for Akismet here.

    Most of my WP sites are dofollow, and I use Akismet on all of them.

    I like Akismet's pretty stats page of all the losers who think they're getting a backlink :p

    Akismet really works well :)

    I was getting daily 200+ Comments on my PR 2 Blog, then I got Akismet and now its under control...

    Akismet is one plugin that does this job, really well. I have been at peace with such spam comments as Akismet does the filtering work really well and I just have to press a single button to delete the thrash..all in one go! :)

    akismet... i get about 100/spams a day, never delete them or empty the spam bin, akismet dumps them after 30 days anyway. this says it all:

    30,249 spams caught, 3,432 legitimate comments, and an overall accuracy rate of 99.801%.

    try disabling your own wordpress comment system and try using intensecomment comment system ....
