I'm a new learner of HTML&website design, I hope someone can suggest some books and good learning methods to me.
You will need a good foundation in XHTML and CSS and a few books on design itself wouldn't be bad plus if you are new to photoshop then you will need some of those. If that all applies to you you could spend between a hundred to two hundred dollars OR wait until you have lots of time and subscribe to Safari bookshelf http://my.safaribooksonline.com/
hi, why try books when you can follow a nice 4~8 hours tutorial on the net about different programming languages. For example you could learn about HTML by looking on video tutorials on nettuts and you can learn a bit more about css on csstricks. Try to take a close look at their tutorials, and follow their rss feed, they tend to provide quality articles - and tutorials - often. Good luck
w3schools.com is the best place start. They are always up-to-date (since they founded HTML) and they are a reliable source for coding. For web design, I have a blog post of different tutorials. I think it would be helpful for you: http://serenedestiny.com/blog/development/the-massive-list-of-web-design-and-development-tutorials/ Remember to practice, and practice some more.
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) was formulated by Tim Berners-Lee of CERN (also the inventor of the World Wide Web) and Daniel Connolly of Atrium in 1993. It was subsequently developed, refined and published as a series of recommendations by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium, who's Director is Berners-Lee) -- no connection with w3schools. James
