I am getting sick and tired of datingusclub.com spamming my classifieds sites with pornographic images and text. My free classifieds sites are for anyone of any age and contain Adsense ads. Why do I find myself spending hours and hours a day removing the same advert from this website and ip banning them, only for them to post it again using different ip addresses. This is one reason why I have had to remove India from my sites and add the whole Indian IP range to my htaccess ip deny file. I have now contacted the hosting company and they will not do anything without a screenshot, I am now waiting for them to post again, but hopefully they dont. If I lose my Adsense account because of someone else posting adult material on my sites then this I think is totally unfair. Datingusclub.com has moved hosting companies 4 times in the last month or 2 because of this issue. The argument that the hosting company fights back with is that it could be affiliates posting the adverts and not the actual webmaster. My argument is that the webmaster should control the affiliates marketing the site. The hosting company also seems to think that it is ok for under 18s to view pornographic material. Has anyone else had trouble with this website? Does anyone else know how I can deal with this?
So fix the script so that anything with SEX oriented words are in tempary hold till you review the listing... laterz malcolm
Sounds like a good plan but is there a way to do this with images? I have over 1000 ads per day going in so I can't really verify every image posted manually. Is there some kind of software that recognizes adult images?
Spam is all around the globe and it's not just bots like in the past,real humans are hired to spam so it's pretty hard to block them. The only thing you can do is confirm them manually based on a good reason posted somewhere.
Are you using Captcha? Because that would cut down on most if not all of the spam if it is being posted by Bots
I agree with Freethenoob. Use capatche. Will help a bit. Also now you banned India na. See still spams are coming. Thats why I marked in your last thread that every country has spammers. Anyway, there is some software also. I remember one of my friends used it to check images which are adult. I exactly do not remember how he did that but yes he was using on his one of the websites. Google it. It may help. If you want I can try to dig out the contact of that friend as I am not in his contact from last 1 year. Atleast this will remove some bad image on "Indians"
Thank you for the help. I use captcha and it cut the spam down by about 10% but some people just continued to post the same adult ads over and over again, as though they were on a mission to break my terms and conditions. I am sorry that I had to block India, but since I have, spam is down by about 70% which makes my life a lot easier. I know spammers are in every country, its just that my site has a high ranking in India so I suppose when the ranking increases in other countries I will have to work on a membership mod instead of no registration, so I can control the spammers from the real posters. When I do this, I will unblock India, but right now I am fighting against porn spammers on family friendly sites, which I think is a major priority. Webmasters who employ affiliates should warn them about where to post their adverts or end up like datingusclub.com, suspended for the 5th time since April! There should be a large divide between adult sites and family friendly sites and they should not cross each other at any time. I hope people will begin to help this situation on the whole internet. Minors can access adult material far to easily and a lot of that is to blame on the webmasters who own the adult sites, not just one country. As I said in my previous thread, I am not racists towards any nation and I do work with a lot of people from India, please just understand, I am protecting my own business. Thank you.
can't u block that url in your classifieds script ? also you may look that url in db and simply remove
