Hi, Just wondering if anyone has a LG X110 netbook, as I'm looking to get a new laptop. I would be using it almost exclusively to read and send e-mail, post to boards such as this one and facebook and similar activities. I wouldn't care about gaming or watching movies or anything like that. Pros? Cons? Recommendations? Thanks
I had one, and sold it 3 months later. its way to small, 10 inch screens, 1 gig of ram, 120 gig hd, its too small for anyone but a poor student, i have a 16 inch laptop, a 28 inch computer computer, a blackberry javelin and a iphone, i have all the mobile computing i can handle. I would say skip the netbook, buy a real laptop, and a blackberry.
I've got an EeePC 901 and love it. I've had lots of full/mid size laptops, but I'd always leave them at home because they were too annoying to carry - which totally defeats the purpose of owning them. My 901 pretty much lives in my messenger bag, so I've always got it with me, and it's small and light enough for me to be unaware of it most of the time. I use my 901 for email, posting to forums/blogs, checking stats, YouTube, watching movies - and it does all those thing really well. Battery life is fantastic on the 901 too. But, there's no way in hell I could do any serious work on it. The keys are too small to touch type on (I'm getting better, but it's still a pain), and the screen is too small to do any design stuff on. If you won't be doing any work on it, then go for it
You should by atleast 15 inch diplay notbook so you can use it for some entertainment also like playing game and watching movies.
I'm very mobile, what I need is change my old notebook to lightweight netbook for wordprocessing, spreadsheet, presentation, net browsing & email. After read some reviews I choose using MSI Wind U100, perfect for my jobs and very pleased with the battery life more than 5 hours.
It's smaller than the LG X110 (10 inch screen). I wouldn't want it any smaller. It's tiny compared to my old Presario. We're talking about netbooks, not notebooks
Never, I was looking to buy one Acer Aspire Netbook but after concerning with my DP friends i delayed my netbook plan and bought a laptop which has most of features which netbook doesn't have
8 inch monitor is just way too small. you probably mistype everything once you own one. just buy a 15inch real laptop and dont waste on it.
one thing you should note, the creation of netbook is the enhancement for the portable device. As far as we concern nowadays, we still can connect to internet while on the go and this netbook is performing their role. moreover its more lightweight compared to notebook and if you think 8'' is way too small just pick 10". i think its far than enough
i just got my eeepc 1002ha last month after my vaio fail, it perfect and suit my need .. Pro : Small, Cheap. Long lasting Battery. Con : Slow if u compare with notebook Small screen. But i'm happy with it cause it suit me when i travel .....
I had the Advent 1412 and sold it for a laptop. I sure do miss it though. I was considering getting another one and selling my laptop and using the computer now it's set up. But the computers stopped working and after selling the laptop and getting a decent netbook, they'd be no extra money. The Advent is the MSI Wind U100 rebadged. I loved it and like I said miss it. The 10 inch display needed getting used to, and I always found my partners laptop huge in comparison and sometimes find mine too big. I've also temporarily had the HP Mini 9. Very good netbook, more so when Windows is installed on it instead of Linux - Windows girl here . But the 8.9 inch display, was too small, where as 10 was adequate . If I had the money, I'd go back to a netbook. Would be perfect for taking to my partner's mum's house to do work while I'm waiting around. My phone has WiFi but it's not workable from and the laptop is just too big to lug around, since using a netbook anyway.
