Do not work with. He agreed to a $20 advance for a design to see if we were on the same page. He thought that would get him complete design when I said he BEFOREHAND would need 4 times that for the complete design. Now he is filing a dispute and refusing to answer emails and PM's. Very childish.
Yes I agreed and I paid $20 as advance.I told him that I am looking some 'professional' designs inline with some sites I have listed to him.I told him that I need to see the mockup/proof of the design to proceed further.He has come with a crap design(http://i26.tinypic.com/2yxmcug.png) and has forced me to accepts the design and pay the remaining amount to complete the work.I have not accepted the design and asked him to atleast make a copy of the site that I have shown him earlier!!He has not tried to present me a fresh idea/design and demended more money. If you want me to redesign a site, just ask, but you refuse to respond...so I won't make a new design if you dont even respond to it. And for the idea, he meant a basic header and buttons. He didn't show you the logo.
You offered to redisgn the site after I filed dispute with paypal and moved to another designer.I have sent the list of sample sites to many designers on this board who have contacted me.They can vouch if your design is inline with my requirments!!
They can't vouch for anything. THEY WEREN'T IN THE CONVERSATION. That's real professional of you hiring another designer. I said in the beginning if you didn't like the idea, I would make unlimited revisions to the idea before we set the price. Instead, you go ahead and file a claim immediately after I make the design. The only time I could have offered to do the redesign was after the claim because you never PM'd me and said you didn't like it or anything. It is YOUR fault not pm'ing or communicating with me. I can't do anything to help if YOU don't PM me or notify me. You never said you had requirements. You said inline with another design. Since inline isn't really a word that fits with anything, I assumed it meant like. YOU NEVER SAID ANY REQUIREMENTS. YOU SAID BE CREATIVE!

Because the point of a dispute on paypal is to try to work everything out, which is what I am trying to do. I HAVE NOT AT ANY TIME stuck to the design. I said OVER AND OVER that I would re-do the idea for an unlimited number of revisions. I never stuck to any design. I never demanded money, I said if you wanted to continue with this design, you need to set a price as I won't work forfree. I also said that if you want me to make another idea design for free, I would because I said in the first place I would.
Well, I dont want to be bias here, but kirch, your mistake is that you finalized with him and didnt respond to his queries after revisions he made. Also, a "professional designer" does cost a lot more than you have tagged so far. This is the usual problem that happens here. People demand for very high quality products for ridiculous prices. And when the outcome is not that professional, you guys complain. Unless u were investing like $500 or something in this site, u would've won this case blindfolded. But its not the case. tiller2dapiller, your mistake is that the product you delivered was really not acceptable. At least not for $20 still. It looks very basic and something no one would buy. I don't want to hurt your feelings but we have a lot of problems like this going on here. Cheap designers with no experience come here to play and offer ridiculously low prices for designs which can't sell at all. You guys affect our market too. I'm just posting here because I did respond in this thread earlier but you won the project most probably because you offered a price which we can never work at for the quality we deliver. And now that its not satisfactory, you can't just come here and shout saying don't work with him anymore. Instead, go and improve your skills further and then come here and play with us big time. I may sound nosy, but I'm done with all this crap happening all the time. Just my two cents.
I would not reccomend working with limedesign, he failed to deliver wasted our time and has no professionalism kept trying to change the agreement and even tried to scam us out of our money by transferring a half done not working theme! Keep far away from this scammer
Haha..I seriously don't want to discuss about your issue Jalpari, but since you posted me as a scammer unlike any one ever on DP, I shall explain who's the scammer. First of all, Jalpari was buying my work for ridiculously low price. I didnt want to work on his project anyway. But he insisted and offered a higher price. So I agreed to work on it. He gave me a very tight time which I managed to accomplish despite my grandmother passed away and I was having a hard time during that period. Now, I completed the design, and asked him for his comments. He did approve the design which means the design was successful. I coded it in XHTML and CSS. I told him Wordpress would be a great alternative since he had more than 40 posts to be moved to his site. He agreed to this. I made that XHTML/CSS into Wordpress theme and uploaded it on testblog. Now, for your information, testblog is where you setup a dummy blog on your host which has all the elements like heading tags, blockquotes, paragraphs, list items, images rendering, etc. Its supposed to look ugly because its just a testblog. Now I compeleted the Wordpress in time and it was all ready to move on his host. You guys know how Wordpress themes function don't you? It has nothing to do with the content. Right? Exactly! So, I told him, I'll move the theme to his host but demanded an upfront payment of 50% since I've done a lot of work already (designing + XHTML + CSS + Wordpress) and will demand the rest after I move the content to his site. He said he don't want to pay and he asked me to add the contents on my testblog *laugh*. Why would I add his content on my testblog right? I wanted to move it to his host, install wordpress there, set the permalinks properly, redirect the proper home page and setup the posts accordingly. He didnt want me to do that *laugh again*. What would you guys do? He was giving me a very hard time and insisted me to complete his site bla bla bla when he didnt want to listen to me. Hey, I'm the coder here. I know it better how this system works. So, he gave me a hard time, and since I had lots of clients waiting for me and I already was emotionally disturbed with my grandmother's death, I ditched the project. Anyone can say I was unprofessional? At least no one who has hired me before would say that. I didnt get a cent from him, I completed the work yet its abandoned on my hard disk, and I didnt flame him for what happened. I didnt quote negatively on his thread or whatsoever, but he flamed me first here. Who's unprofessional now? p/s: you know what he said about the work when I showed him the final Wordpress design? He said its not what he wants when he already affirmed the design phase. For the record, here's the design. That ugly header isn't mine. The body work is all mine. You guys are the judge. Excuse you? I work for the Atlanta Journal Const. as the head designer making $65k a year. You are some random kid on Digitalpoint. The design was after 5 min of work. He was confused on what he wanted the buttons to be shaped like at irst, so I showed him. You are an asshole.
