hm... anything is fine, But only one should be there. modify the access in .htaccess. But, i always prefer www.domainname.com
Makes no difference as far as I can tell. Most people prepend the www out of habit though, so that is how I usually do it.
You can use either. I prefer the www., but it's only a personal preference. What is is important is that you pick one and then make sure all your internal links point to that version. In addition, make sure any link building you do is in the same form. If you think people who would give you a natural link will use one or the other format, then pick that. Bottom line, just be consistent once you pick it.
Either one is probably ok, but I always leave the www off on my domains. I get all my domains through GoDaddy so they get directed to my site even is someone uses the www to access the site...I dont think it matters for SEO, though. Personal preference....

that's true --and for me, i may choose do with www i am lasy and i think get rid of www is more keyword related
