How to I track ads placed on Social Networking websites?

    Hello People,

    I have to set up ads for my client's website on social networking sites like facebook, twitter & myspace. Can we track those ads thru google analytics..is there a way?

    How do we track users from specific social networking websites?

    Any suggestions

    I think you can track them with Google Analytics even. You can see traffic from these websites in your referring websites list

    Hi learning_seo I don't know if GA will give you a report on it but the standard way to track ads is to put a specific parameter on the URL like &loc=XXX all the hits with loc=fb1 might be face book campaign one etc:)

    Not exactly the most scientific method but I agree that it should work fairly well to check your list of referring websites.
